Last Saturday, March 15, at the parish of San Cayetano de los Teatinos, the charity concert “Music for Relief” was held, in an atmosphere of reflection and fraternity. The event was organized by the Camillian religious of Barcelona, led by Father Mathew Biju, together with CADIS (Camillian Disaster Services).
The concert featured the extraordinary participation of Manoj George, a Grammy Award-winning composer and violinist, who traveled from India to offer his talent for this noble cause. Manoj has collaborated on several occasions with CADIS in India and agreed to organize the music for the evening together with his support band.
The event was opened by José Carlos Bermejo, Provincial Superior of the Camillian religious of Spain, who warmly greeted the audience. In his speech, he gave a brief but significant presentation of the history and mission of the Order, highlighting its commitment in the spiritual and social fields. He also expressed sincere thanks to all the people and institutions who made this event possible.

Subsequently, Consuelo Santamaría, professor at the Center for Humanization of Health and member of the Board of Directors of CADIS International, presented the success stories of CADIS around the world. She highlighted CADIS's work in favor of solidarity, humanitarian aid, and support for the most vulnerable in situations of emergency and need.
The most anticipated moment of the evening was the concert, which lasted two hours and was full of rhythm, quality, and emotion. Manoj George, internationally renowned for his virtuosity, was accompanied by his talented children, Neil Manoj and Niya Rose Manoj. Also present was Barbara Kejetanomicz, an exceptional singer and music teacher in Vienna, whose voice brought an atmosphere of beauty and sensitivity to the event.

As part of the program, Fr. Mathew Biju played some pieces on the flute, adding a spiritual and harmonious touch to the event.
To conclude the day, Fr. Mathew expressed a word of thanks, highlighting the effort and generosity of all the main figures who made the event possible. He also thanked the participants for their presence and participation.
Finally, Fr. José Ignacio Santaolalla, President of CADIS, presented a recognition award to the artists for their commitment and generous dedication to the victims of the DANA and for their valuable contribution to this cause of solidarity.
