The CADIS International Foundation is organising an International Conference “1 Planet, 1 Future: A Global Alliance of Advocates for a Sustainable Future”, to be held in Rome, at the Centro Studi Camilliani in Largo Ottorino Respighi, 6 - 00135 Rome (Camilluccia), on 2-3 December 2025.
In a world increasingly affected by complex and frequent disasters, collaboration and cooperation are key to effective disaster response and community resilience.
Guided by the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030) and its principle that “no one should be left behind”, CADIS highlights the disproportionate impact of disasters on marginalised populations. To address this issue, we want to foster collaboration between civil society, religious institutions and institutional stakeholders to combat climate change and support vulnerable communities.
With the aim of creating a network of actors at the forefront of promoting a sustainable future, participation in the conference is reserved for members of organisations, non-profits, congregations, associations, foundations, and universities that share the same mission and vision as CADIS in promoting a fully ecologically converted and disaster resilient community.
It will be an international discussion on the crucial topics of sustainability, planetary health, community initiatives and financing innovative models for ecological reconstruction. There will be plenary sessions, workshops and networking spaces, with the aim of:
• Foster the exchange of knowledge and experience
• Create new opportunities for international collaboration; and
• Promote concrete commitments for a more sustainable future.
The event is free on both days, but places are limited. The conference will be held in Italian and English and has simultaneous translation for the two languages.
